Privacy Policy

Hridtech Private Limited ("Skilyo", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have. It is written to meet India\'s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and, for users in the UK and EU, the UK GDPR / EU GDPR.

We are the data controller / data fiduciary for the personal data described below. Contact: sanket@hridtech.com.

1. Information we collect

Account data — name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and your role (candidate or employer).
Candidate profile — headline, bio, skills, experience, location, links (GitHub, LinkedIn, portfolio), job preferences, your uploaded résumé, and skill-verification results / badges.
Employer / company data — company name, website, description, job posts and applicant decisions.
Payment data — handled by our payment processor, Razorpay. We receive confirmation of a payment and a reference, but we never receive or store your full card or bank details.
Usage & technical data — basic logs and essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and the service secure.

2. Why we use it and our legal basis

To provide the platform and your account — performance of a contract.
To verify skills and display badges, and to match candidates and employers — legitimate interest / contract.
To process payments — contract and legal obligation.
To send service emails (verification, password reset, application updates) — contract / consent.
To keep the service safe and comply with law — legitimate interest / legal obligation.

3. When we share data

With employers — when you apply to a job or appear in the talent pool, employers can see your profile and verification badges. In blind mode, your name is hidden until an employer chooses to reveal it.
With service providers — Razorpay (payments), Resend (transactional email) and Bunny.net (hosting/CDN), strictly to run the service.
For legal reasons — if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and security obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.

5. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can: access your data; correct it; delete it; withdraw consent; object to or restrict certain processing; and request a copy in a portable format. Users in the UK/EU have these rights under GDPR; users in India have corresponding rights under the DPDP Act. To exercise any right, email sanket@hridtech.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (e.g. the UK ICO, or the Data Protection Board of India).

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures: encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, signed session cookies, rate limiting and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data.

7. International transfers

We operate in the UK and India, so your data may be processed in either country and by our service providers elsewhere. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

8. Children

Skilyo is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Grievance officer & exercising your rights

To access, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, or raise a privacy complaint, email sanket@hridtech.com with the subject "Privacy request". Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, our Grievance Officer is Sanket Joshi, Director, Hridtech Private Limited, reachable at the same address; we acknowledge and address grievances within 90 days. UK/EU users may also complain to their local data-protection authority (e.g. the UK ICO or the Data Protection Board of India).
